  1. For Sale Ford Escort mk5 RS2000 2.0l 16v DHOC, tuned to 175bhp approx. 1992 – J-reg, 3 door, In black 108k miles, good Service history (partly stamped book, but loads of receipts from services over the years) 10 previous MOT’s to also back up the mileage & service book. 2 keys & Fobs. Folder full of service receipts and various other receipts from over the years 6 owners from new, I have owned for the last 6 years. RSOC member Clifford CAT1 Alarm Being a track car I have regularly serviced the car, having multiple changes a year using the best oil and parts. This is a very competent & reliable track car and has always been road legal, I used to drive this car 100 miles to Oulton Park track, spend all day on track and then drive it home and the car would not miss a beat! I have completed a total of 5 track days in this car with no reliability issues at all, and the car has never previously been on track before my 5 track days. It has always been a road legal car until I let the last MOT expire. It has been a brilliant track car which handles like it is on rails, it is best handling car I have owned and the best RS2000 I have had (I have had 6 in total) this is also the fastest RS2000 that I have had, The roll cage, front/rear struts and the big brakes also aid the car no end being able to throw it round the corners and brake late, as the chassis is so stiff and can stop on a 6-pence Due to the car being lightened and the engine mods, it makes it a very revy & responsive car. with useable power throughout the rev range. Having regular battles with the Caterhams & Clio Sport Cups on track. Unfortunately I just don’t have the time anymore due to work/family commitments and with a pending house move and wedding approaching it is time to sell L. The MOT & TAX have expired now as I have not used the car over the last 2 years. I have spent thousands on this car and there is also £1000’s of receipts from maintenance and servicing over the years. The car is portfolio presented with all original ford handbooks and wallet included. (2 x keys & 2 x alarm fob’s also) The car is worth twice as much as I am asking for it if I was to break, but I don’t wish to break such a good car, especially since this is a genuine Ford RS2000, I hope someone will be able to enjoy the car as I have done. It just needs a bit of time and effort putting into it to get it back to the standard it should be. The alloys & headlights (both rare) are worth £600 alone. Avez A’s lightweight Aluminium Alloys that are 7.5J wide rather than the more common 7J. Modifications Engine 2.0l 16v Duratec i4 DHOC, tuned to 175bhp approx. There are marks and scratches and battle scars as this is a track car, (though it has still been a road legal track car all these years) and would still look good on the road if you put it back through an MOT and tax it - I used it as a weekend fast road car as well. I had an off at Oulton park and kissed the tyre wall, bumped the driver’s door, front wing, bumper and bonnet, it was all only cosmetic. Dents in wing and door, and bonnet pushed back slightly so the gaps on either side are different and its fowls the scuttle panel when opened (needs bonnet adjusting on hinges) I have sanded and resprayed the front wing, but supplied is a brand new wing if you are not happy with the finish, though it has always been fine for me (as its a track car). Also having an issue with headlights and sidelights & electric windows. I think I may have reconnected the Cosworth Morettes wrong as now when you try use them it cuts the car off. Something simple (prob earth issue), just don’t have the time to sort as these have been working fine, along with the windows. all other electrics and lights work fine. Please note, 1st picture is the car when on track last time 2 years ago, all other pictures are current and were taken recently I'm sure there is loads more which I haven’t mentioned, contact me if there is anything you wish to know. Thanks
