Andy 3i
i would reccomend fusion kit. i've had mine for over 12 months with no problems. Upgraded the fromt speakers to Fusion Encounter 16.5mm Components (£49.99). Then got Fusion Powerplant 6x9s (£79.99) and then got 2 Sony Xplod Black Pentagon subs (£62 each). I'm not blowing my own trumpet or anything, but it sounds pretty good. I dont get any distortion and with the head unti set up properly its like having a massive home stereo. trev27
I have a Pioneer MP3 headunit, 17cm Alpine speakers in the doors and Alpine 6 x 9 in the rear quarters, it sounds fine to me.No rattles or distortion at reasonable levels. Was thinking of installing one of my 2 Alpine amps to power the speakers, but decided against it, so might be selling themand a 10" Pioneer Sub!!! Mike C
Search for 'edead' Just been looking at some of that. £50 for 30sq ft seems rather good Is it decent stuff then that?
Stu
It's alright, it's what i've thrown in mine. It's by far not the best, but it's half the price of everything else. There was a test done for the slightly better version of this which faired averagely against the market leaders........
Mike C
how many sqaure feet does it take to do an average car? I've never used sound deadening before so going to give it a try soon
Stu
Like, the entire inside of the shell? I'd say you'd need at least 200 sq ft if you put two layers on.
Mike C
well, whatever needs doing to get decent results without going OTT to get the best out of front components (main speaker in the footwell, tweeters in the door), rear speakers in the rear sides and subs in the boot
Marcopolo
change of subject I know, but is there anything I should know before I put my Kenwood head unit into my Escort mk6? I mean is there anything I need to buy before I go ahead and put it in? Edited April 11, 2008 by artstudent07
