ScORTED
use your original ones on the front and send the ones you bought back... get them changed for mk6 ones, just specify a mk6 with rear discs... i tohught we went through all this last month making sure you ordered the right hoses? mykez69
yeh, i got confirmation that the ones i was going to buy were the correct ones, hope the back ones fit, urgh, knew something would go wrong
ryan_gwa
That braided hose is for Escort rears with discs. As the little nut on the pipe is for securing it to the chassis, and the solid pipe is a female M10. You've got them back to front basically. ScORTED
does that pipe have a banjo - loop fitting on the other end?
mykez69
yes it has a banjo, the rear ones are just 2 bolts, front ones have the banjo's on, so what i need is mk5 rear ones, and mk6 front ones,
ScORTED
well some mk6's had rear discs, but basically you should have the right rear ones and the wrong front ones fit the brakes using your original front hoses and send the front back to be replaced
mykez69
trust me lol i may as well just sell the front mk5 ones on here, keep the rear mk5 ones to do my beam, i got em off ebay, so not much luck of a swap for correct ones there lol on the other hand, there looking mint http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg142/mykez69/Ford%20Escort%20Si%20Mk6/Image136.jpg
ScORTED
the braking system is daignoally split front left rear right etc so theres no point having only on pair of braided hoses, find your local goodridge / hydraulics dealer and they can change the male end to a femail one
mykez69
oh no i will get braided for the front too, i be doing my beam this weekend too, so hope the mk5 ones will jus fit straight on, then sort the braided for front ones out, gonna find me local dealer now, will be able to get an adapter surely?????
