Posted May 2, 200816 yr So, everyone on here knows about the nonsense I had with my alloy refurb..... Well they went back the other day to be re-done and yup you guessed it, even more trouble. I was afraid to risk anymore upset, and the dark colour reeeeaaly put me off! He couldn't use the paint mix I sent him 'cos it wasn't thick enough to cover the navy/green that he did them before, so he put his own on, and it's just that bit lighter. Nevertheless I like them They are sparklier than the std silver, and certainly looks better than before. My smile is returned. Although still no spoiler - laquer not dry til tomorrow http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry246.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry244.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry249.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry247.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry248.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry245.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z242/blondie_Vi/menharry250.jpg About time I say Edited May 5, 200816 yr by ky_gti

May 2, 200816 yr just look std now , such a shame http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s63/mutley-st/0664bac3.gif but your happy and its your car so thats all that matters, look like my 16's i had on my gti when i first got em now.. very shiney and new
May 2, 200816 yr would have liked to see them with your paint... but I'm glad you found a colour you like just have to keep them clean & shiney. just waiting for the spoiler, to complete the package!
May 2, 200816 yr Will the spoiler match the front or rear door colour? I was thinking the same thing! I can't believe your going to ruin the car by adding the spoiler, its lovely (apart from the mismatch colour) as it is
May 2, 200816 yr Wheels looked better darker IMO, but as long as you are happy with them. And put the spoiler on, will look alot better. Good work

May 2, 200816 yr Author im sorry but that is bulls### all he would have to of done is spray them a neutral couler then put your paint on he couldnt be assed spraying them twice as far as im concernd if i was you i would find another bodyshop!!!!! That's exactly what I said to him! He couldn't be arsed priming them again But never mind, I still have my paint Might be able to do it myself. As for the rear door, yes it is a different colour, but only on that side. It had a bump before I got it, and the arches had been previously bodged, hence the slight mismatch. (I've done the rear drums black too-mutch better ) Thanks for the comments, as always
