Focus rs clutch

Hi has any one used a focus rs clutch in a mxt75 box(not a focus rs one) i've been told that is may not fit does any one no for sure. Although the focus rs runs a mtx75 box apparently it uses a special bell housing how true this is i don't!!!!!

any help or tips would be great cheers.

It doesn't fit.

thaks for the reply stu just wondering why it don't fit can anything be modified to make it fit or is it just too big for the bell housing.

It fouls the bell housing in a couple of places; I considered this route on a previous turbo engine I built and ended up aborting (actually the whole project got aborted, but the gearbox+clutch was a show-stopper at the time)..

 

I think perhaps if you had a spacer to bring the gearbox out maybe 5mm would do the trick.. can't be sure though without experimentation.

I'm gonna go with an uprated rs 2000 one i think.

Shame as theres a focus rs one going quite cheap on ebay
