DLWarrior Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 Help needed please escort mk5b drivers side brake sticking on when pressed hard caliper been replaced and pads still sticks and gets very hot Releases when cooled down Have tried to push piston in caliper back to see if working, is very hard to push back passenger side works ok Can anyone suggest next move.... SLEEMAN Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 i mean basically the hoses are damaged internally i.e. the hoses inside are squashed and staying that way because they are damaged. so therefore the fluid is not flowing correctly back and fourth through the hose. so it needs changing asap! rogerthecabbyboy Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 because they break down internally you wouldn't be able to tell from the outside. replace the flexi hose on the affected side, for the sake of a few quid its worth trying or a good opportunity to upgrade to braided hoses if thats your thing.
