turbosy Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Yes, it will fit but the steering lock wont work, so you have to put the MK5a top column on. And the column surrounds off a MK5a. SLEEMAN Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 oh sorry misread the title. yes it will fit and as said above! but if you want to have the airbag removed and a new steering wheel, you might as well go all the way and get a decent aftermarket one like momo top quality ones with a snap off boss kit, removing the steering wheel is a good security item and a good theft deter! expensive but possible a little less hassle than the mk5a one! Andy 3i Posted May 9, 2008 Share Posted May 9, 2008 yeah, it'll fit. all you have to do is remove the airbag ring, or cut the wires (your choice) then you have to make the hole for the wheel bigger with a grinder or similar. then fit the wheel so it doesnt scrub the column shround. then remove the airbag bulb. job done. i've done it on my 5b.
