What inputs/Outputs does this stereo have?

Which have you used for the sub?

Is the sub designed for Sub-outs or standard full range pre-outs?

There is a sub on/off mode on the head unit, as well as a sub output level setting.... Other than that, you've either hooked up to the wrong pair of pre-outs OR you dont have any pre-outs going to the sub at all ;)

Have you hooked up the little cable that tells the amp to turn on with the stereo?

Get a voltmeter out and measure your voltage when turning it up. Should stay above 12v at all times, if not, theyre turning off because of poor voltage protection.

Saying that, could relly be a number of things.

ahhh good point, does this mean i need a stronger battery lol???

Not really, normally is just poorly wired.

Thats probably why! Grab some cable the same thickness as your power for a minimum. You could use multiple lengthd of what you have as a stop gap I suppose.. Depends really, but theres nothing like doing the job properly!
