Stu
There is a sub on/off mode on the head unit, as well as a sub output level setting.... Other than that, you've either hooked up to the wrong pair of pre-outs OR you dont have any pre-outs going to the sub at all

MC_Bob
Get a voltmeter out and measure your voltage when turning it up. Should stay above 12v at all times, if not, theyre turning off because of poor voltage protection. Saying that, could relly be a number of things. meekstaaa
It is important to have the same size earth cable as power

Not really, normally is just poorly wired. check earth for sub box/amp? the first earth/ground cable i had broke because i had pulled it too far lol!! so now im using a wire from a extentionlead cable which is only like 1mm thick while the other cable was about 10mm thick lol, thts the problem i guess hehe you guys are leg engds!!!! thanks!!! Eddie Thats probably why! Grab some cable the same thickness as your power for a minimum. You could use multiple lengthd of what you have as a stop gap I suppose.. Depends really, but theres nothing like doing the job properly!
