white_van_man
drivers footwell, find c/l ecu and pull one of the plugs out (central locking will still work but alarm won't) can't remember which of the 2 plugs but if c/l doesnt work when you remove one plug it back in and remove the other

white_van_man
plastic cover to the right of the pedals, remove cover, look up a bit and you will see a silver box with two connectors going into it, release the connector as mentioned above

white_van_man
try unlocking and locking the doors with the key, and see if it goes off, then use as normal. do that when the alarms going off and it should stop sorted it now there was another plug in the CL ECU and ive pulled it out now cheers white_van_man your welcome mate, that will completely disable the factory alarm. but the central locking, pats and your toad alarm will remain unaffected Edited May 9, 2008 by white_van_man
1pukkadeal
No doubt tripped a stuck relay once the power was disconnected
white_van_man
the relay is sadly inside the c/l/alarm ecu so removing the connector from it is the only way. the ford alarm is not really worth having anyway and especially if you have an aftermarket alarm fitted
