Danny1107
whats the best tappet cleaner to use? engine is starting to sound really tappety so going to give it an oil flush, oil and filter change and put some tappet cleaner in there
Stu
Zetecs dont get 'really tappety' unless you starve them of oil (and then topping it up makes it go away).. once in a blue moon you'll get a single follower fail which will always tap.. but 'really tappety', no chance. Doing an oil change is never a bad thing though.

Had intended to just replace the tappets but if it could be something else will need to look into it

Stu
Yeah it is shocking how much a full set costs!! It can be hard to track a single one, you really just need to use a stethoscope (on a hard line) to try and find which one it is through teh cam cover.
