would it be an idea to refit the belt and then lock the cams?...

Also a quick question..... how good are dayco timing belt kits? seen one cheapish on ebay...... Click Me!

Any help/ tips/ Advice/ or what i need to look out for would be well appreciated as i have never stripped an engine before :pancake:

Before completely stripping the engine. Lock No1 cylinder at TDC and then you can place the locking pin in the flywheel. Mark all your timing marks up just in case! Makes life so much easier on the re-build.

I would a Ford timing belt kit, just my opinion!
