i got 3 points for doing 36mph in a 30 zone during my first year of driving..

being that i was in my 2 year "probationary period" and that points stay on your licence for 3 years iirc (feel free to correct me) and if you amass 6 points within 2 years your banned...

if i get 3 points after my 2 year "probationary period" (which is due to end shortly)

am i still elidgeble for a ban???

considering that the 3 points are still on my licence for another year??

not that i intened on collecting any more points..i learnt from my mistakes the first time. ;)

mobile speed camera...

so if i get 3 points after august (which is when ive had my licence 2 years) i wont get banned?

Hey Dude,

you wont get a ban, they will revoke your licence and you will have to reapply for a proffisional and retake the theory and the prcaticle test,

i got 6 points for driving my girlfriends DRUNK DAD home, we had his car and i siad dont drive i will take you home, (thinking my poclicy covered me ) i was wrong, 6 months later i go to court and they say DVLA are revoking you licence £175 fine and 6 points (also wasted £550 on a stupid lawyer who did not fight my corner(who i am currently refusing to pay lol))

(speeding maybe a different thing tho)

i also got 3 points for talking on my mobile :(

so as it stands i have my new driving test on 23rd May, after takeing my thoery again and passing, the tests dont get harder so dont worry,

and the length you are without your licence depends on how quick you can book your tests, mine has been 2 long as months, lost my high paying job by getting demoted because i needed to drive everywhere with it and also my new insurance preieums are now this

used to be £1100 for Ford Escort Estate 1.6

next year its £2200 for Ford Escort Estate 1.6

the way the northamptonshire police are sucks they will take you down for looking at them funny, i mean i had no reason for the police to pull me over that night,

Shouldn't do mate...

I'm really paranoid about getting points and losing my licence so I never really speed if I can help it.

just as well your car has a top speed of 30 then Del

Ouch....

Police don't really need a reason to pull you over, they can do it to catch people who don't have insurance or whatever, as per the bloke above.
