getting a remote key

i see the remote keys for sale,i would like to know if i would be able to get it work on my car,i have a 2000 in year,so its a later one if that makes any different?

if i can have it done,does anybody have a rough ideal on price what it would cost,if somebody could help,could they say which key to get and how to get it to work,

if you havent already got all the remote locking parts (not sure about later escorts) you'll nedd the remote key, remote intrior light, remote central locking module and remote locking/sunroof loom. loom is £20 from fords, light is £50, key is about £40-50 cant quite remember and module is some stupid. im talking at least £100. so get the module from a breakers about £20 and the light if your loucky enough to find a second hand one, otherwise go fords. very rare to find them for sale now. doesnt take much to fit, i done mine in less than half hour for the whole lot then just spent ages finding a key that actually worked. theres a guide on how to set up the key and locking (you need your master) if you dont have a master key get a locksmith to do you one for about £60 and then get yourself a remote blank key cut from fords or anywhere else about £7.
