Stu
You'd be highly unlikely to feel a difference.
onehotminute_191
You'd be highly unlikely to feel a difference. even so, would it help with fueling? i know they state an increase of 5-10bhp but they also say the fueling is sorted as well as flat spots. if it does then maybe its worth it for driveablity. speedy
dont these have to be set up profesionaly not simply plug and play as how can a plug and play chip match the set up on every car ?

SteveB
There's no flat spots..... Ford know how to calibrate an engine, believe it or not. so what your saying is they're a lie Ford DO know how to calibrate the ecu, but they calibrate more for economy and engine life than power. Powerchips are a respected company, so I would expect some gain, and this is a good price. If you have doubts, ask other powerchips users to see if they do notice any real difference on the road. Trig
A 5 bhp increase is about the same as not having a passenger in the car. So I suppose it is a bargain for sitting and talking pub figures, but in the real world, inflating your tyres to the correct pressure will probably leave you feeling more of a gain

onehotminute_191
i thought production engine were tuned for reliability and life span. yeah ive never really heard anyones views on powerchips in particular but other chips alot of people say they're good but never really explain why,. just what you read on the advertisments, better economy, more power, better throttle response.
