Muppje
Is this whole inner quarter removable? Makes installing the 6x9s in my other car easier! http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Muppje/DSC00177.jpg Besides, the inner quarters in my other car are knackered anyway! onehotminute_191
i dont know if you have to but i remove the backrest latches too. i think you have to as they sit up through the shelf so when you try moving it it wont go nowhere
1pukkadeal
with the right eqipment you can fit them without taking the support out , by the way 6x9s only fit 5 door models as the 3 door support is shorter

1pukkadeal
if you must have 6x9s would not bother with mounting them in the parcel shelf or stealth as its a bodge ,plus its aggro everytime time you need to take the parcel shelf out and the weight will knacker your supports either side in time

Muppje
It's not that I MUST have 6x9s, just that if I could use the speakers in my old car and slap them in my new car, would be a bonus as the standard Ford speakers are not much cop. Turns out its a dead end anyway, as the parcel shelf supports are a different shape in the 3dr. Bah!

Bah! yeah completely different. try some good 5x7's. i know you can get adaptors that fit the original brass fixings under the shelves and you can put speakers onto them. might be for 6x9's but then you would be loosing sound into the boot space as the speaker are sunk below the shelves. theres a few options. 1pukkadeal
the easiest upgrade is as mentioned fitting adaptors below the quarter support and fitting 165mm round type as no cutting is involved
Muppje
how the hell do you remove the rear upper seat belt bracket? I bought some new parcel shelf supports and tried to fit them the other day.....but couldn't fathom how to get that off so that I could remove the whole support. Also got pissed off with one of the clips that wouldn't unclip on the bottom of it (holding it to the rear card)
