Wealed plates on the otherside of the axel, put the axel on top of the leaf springs and turn the U clamps the other way around!

how much would you say that lowers it?

coz the cosworth sills are quite deep and i wouldnt want them to crack. looks good well low

Update.

After talking it threw with a bodyshop ive desided to do away with the idea of cosworth arches and just put on the cyclone/wrc skirts and arch extentions. Because ill be running so much power in the soundsystem and that would just crack the cosworth arches and would b a waste of money.

i have also desided as im spending so much on the van i might aswell replace and refurb everything, so at the lastweek i striped the whole lot down, took the sills off cut out all the rust and am going to replaced it with new and fix all the rust holes in the chassis.

then i taken all the loose rust, underseal and paint off and cleaned all of the surface underneth then given it a couple of coats of anti-rust and zinc primer and repleced the sills.

Also going to ad a scooby scoop to my custom bonnet and modd the rear bumper so it has a extra exhaust hole and just make it symetrical.

New Update.

The First idea was to have a cosworth kit on the van and make it a cosworth lookalike van.

but as time has gone by ive wanted a 1off van to really make heads turn.

so today i got out the welder and desided to try somthing that i thort of and make some one off wide arches using steel for strength, foam to make the shape, and fiberglass to give the surface strength (will post pics threw the build)

i took my brand new wings and started work. As im wanting the van to be slamed and the wheels out flush with the arches (NOT inside, like alot of cossie reps) and the wheels will be 18'', i cut 1''1/2 inch all around the arch.

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15978.jpg

After i cut it out i cut out a piece of steel and tacked it in place with the wing bolted to the car so it all lined up

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15979.jpg

Then i marked 40mm away from the wing really carfully all around the new steel and cut it with a cutter and belt sanded it to match the bit of wing i cut off

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15980.jpg

then mesured and tacked the cut off back on makingsure it lined up proper

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15981.jpg

so now i have strong wide arches that will take wheels and take them flush with the arch

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15982.jpg

Then i welded on some plates as guides for the foam and fiberglass and for strength.

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15983.jpg

Thats all of the welding, made it look all tidy, grinded the welds that will show once finished and gave it a coat of zink primer.

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15984.jpg

Then fitted them back and put the first bit of foam on.

http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/15986.jpg

once that cures ill post some more pics.
