Colin
Well folks, now ive decided that a Escort shall be returning into my life next summer, ive decided to come back ot the oldist forums that i used to call home. First car ever, was a 998cc Ax. Ladies loved it, it didnt like hills..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/Escort/myax.jpg Went to the scrap heap after choped springs, torsion bar diy, 15's and all the usual first car mistakes and at the time I bought my since my infamous RS1400i project, ive had a few motors some good, some awaful. Firstly, my original RS1400i pics, better pics found in my sig. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/Escort/nice-day-7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/Escort/Recaro-16i-001.jpg(Rs1600i seats!)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/Escort/nice-day-8.jpgAbout the time I had the Escort, I bought myself a 1.6 Golf Driver mk2 as a weekend project, and my god was it some project........ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/S3600004-1.jpg Which actually never got finished because i spent so long sorting it, the chassis started to rot, so i sold it onto a fella who was a boyshop expert apparently, and its still not finished, more previous owners than Paris Hilton. Replaced the Escort with a 406 1.9 TD which was a great taxi but lacked somewhat in the engine stakes but was about as powerful (if not as fun) as the 1.4i, ended up being traded in for a.......... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/ultra-clean-1.jpg Rover 200 which was a total weapon. 1.4 16v si 105 bhp, had one granny owner, and the car was so mint it was scarry, and follow some mods the car had a Carbon Dynamics Air Kit, 4/2/1 equal length manifold, 1.8 manifold back exhaust set-up, all round disc conversion, pi-springs and gmax dampers, and a remap which gave me 121bhp!!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/rover-214-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/rover-214-7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/rover-214-8.jpgSausage dog optional, but i had a blanket and everything for the true granda look haha! until this happened when a BMW 5 series estate owner with no insurance did a u-turn at 40 mph wiping the car out totally, doesnt look bad, chassis was badly twisted, and the a piller was rippled also. Sold what bits i could and scraped the car as practicially standard. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/Copyof190806-007a.jpg Gutted, so had to write the car off and loose everything as my NCB wasnt protected at the time yet. Then I bought this Mazda 323F 1.5 which needed a lot of work to the body, so spent the guts of two weeks with a eletric polisher bringing the car up to standard before i got it on the road..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/300407-04.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/300407-05.jpg (with mg rims, off my old motor!) .....which was a belter of a motor, I loved it completly until the timing belt snapped and the engine Shite itself plus i started seing a girl who was a 70 mile round trip, so off it went as a trade in and now this is my current motor. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/dub310507-6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/dub310507-1.jpg ...which looks really dull but is a 182 (originally 130) bhp 6 speed diesel SE, giving me 49mpg, electric toys and ive fitted recaros, dvd/ps2 etc, and it makes the 406 seem ancient. Ive loads of bits sitting around in the garage for it atm, I just cant spare the car to go into the bodyshop but it will look roughly like this whenever i get some spare time! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/photo28.jpg Ive been having a few dreams recently about my old mk5b and decided I wish to find a rather nice one, preferably with a RS Turbo lump in it, and totally strip it for fast road/weekend track abuse. Now to find one in Radient red and in the right Mk5b shape and at the right time lol. Ow and purely for Lee R, yes, i finally got myself a haircut. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/meayearago.jpg

Colin
We update as ive had another car since. This was my Polo, bought for 50 quid. Was a 1.0 beast, with 5 speed box, no power steering, and each panel was beaten in or painted witha rattle can by previous owner. So did the right thing, bought coilovers and dumped it on its arse, 120mm slam anyone and daily driving? LMAO! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Colin/superlowpolo3.jpg Was a beast, and did me while my Golf got fixed, and then rubbish its turbo, clutch and injectors all at once, so flogged it on to get ride of it and bought the Zt.
