MIKE W Posted July 5, 2008 Share Posted July 5, 2008 I set off at just gone 4am this morning for combe and met Dave on route. We then got to combe and had trouble finding where the meetpoint was, i then spotted where i thought it was supposed to be so we pull over, no one is about so Dave gave Trig a ring to see where he was......He was currently looking for his own meet point which he couldnt find ....Then Ryan just spots us and locks up trying to stop PMSL, Awesome meet point..... Then into the show, are stand was in a pants position tbh right at the end but that couldnt be helped.....I did start to clean all the shite off my car but got bored so only did one half lol.... I was thinking the weather was gonna be crap and there was some nasty downpours on way but again combe brought out the sun, fantastic weather, im sunburnt lol did have the occasional bit of rain for a few mins but in all it was spot on.... I didnt really chat to anyone on the stand as i was watching the track all day as i like to do at Combe, so sorry The drift sessions were quality, the green Mk2 was awesome. Few close shaves too with a 200sx stopping inches from the tyre wall and one guy actually binning it.... Dave managed to get a passenger ride in the Reyland 3dr Cossie, B*stard lol he was the last person to be allowed at the time. I was hoping to get out in the Reyland 3dr or Esc Cos, but as said i couldnt go in the 3dr as it wasnt doing anymore runs and the Esc Cos had a problem with the gear box so they brought out the Reyland MG ZR which has an Audi engine, i got a passenger ride in that, real weapon Got loads of pics and vids of the track i will post later, not sure how they have come out though, im not so good at photographing cars on track.... I managed the whole 380mile trip on one tank too, economical these Escorts aint they....
