Good point, a mate of mine uses some form of 'spring cup' to the raise the back of his ERST they look safe enough mind.

looks like a rubber dougnut which goes between the spring coils i guess, they are safe.
What you guys think of these wierd things, they just don't seem safe

i think, save the £40, and put the rest too and buy the proper springs
