Posted July 20, 200816 yr The cabby started off having a grotty white vinyl roof. I was embarrassed to drive around with the roof up, it was that bad! You can see where I tried to cover up the many holes with silver tape! http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s133/31sam/100_0628.jpg This is the only pic I have with the old roof on.. was last week whilst sorting the cambelt and changing the cams and throttle body for 130 spec ones. Car seems a little perkier now! New roof was fitted on friday by the brilliant chaps from carhoods northern (I would highly recommend them if you need a roof) and now the car looks a bit different.. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s133/31sam/100_0670.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s133/31sam/100_0683.jpg A huge difference I think. Pics were taken after a full machine polish thingymabob to make it all lovely and shiny - car looked so dull beforehand. It was £420 with them coming down to Birmingham to fit it. Think they charge £25 for mobile fitting. Seemed reasonable when my local place wanted more than that and for me to leave the car with them all day. This bloke only took 2 1/2 hours to do it! Bargain.. As for the lowering.. hmm. It's not lowered as much as the blue one was, but I couldn't tell you how much. The chap I bought it from had to get new springs for it last year because one snapped, but he wasn't an organised person and so never kept the receipt!
