Sorry could not resist as it used to be called the hairdressers car

mx5 is a much better car than an escort, apart from ability to carry brats and stuff in the boot
I use to love my mums mx5, was a great car!..........That was until she slid into a kerb and wrote it off :nutter:
Nick mate, whats up with the fiesta? what year/condition is it in? might be interested in buying it for scrap value if your gonna scrap it mate ;)

Indeed. but now...they have been degraded to the Hairdressers receptionist. :pancake:

Have you people actually driven MX5s? Seat position is dire, floats like a butterfly and stings like a wet paper bag!!

They're one of the best handling cars you can get.

What's wrong with the inside of the car mate done a search and all I can find is the thread showing it stripped, I'm not interested in buying to to instantly put it on the road, more of a project base ;)

il give you a list, make a tea and take a seat.

staring from the front of the car.

front lower pannel rotten renew

bonnet needs spraying

cam shaft seals need doing (i used patten parts)

Oil pressure switch leaking and does not work

Nasty oil leak coming from the gear box (crank shaft seal I think)

New bottom for the airbox

New tensioner for aux belt noisy when warm

Engine has done 146k miles so not worth it

Steering column is wobbly (up down left to right)

A fair old chip in the wind screen

Hole in the passenger foot well and leaks water from somewhere

Hole by the vin plate

Hole in the transmission tunnel driver’s side where a gear lock used to be

New sills *2

New front wings *2

Lots of holes breaking though on the floor

Needs the front rear panel welded in (I have)

Rear arches are like a Cadburys flake bar

Has you can see a lot of work.
