Noticed a knockin/banging noise when car goes over pot holes on pass side also steerin wheel vibrates at around 30mph had wheels balanced so i know there fine,when i had my wheels balanced and a new tyre fitted(front)as it had been run flat the vibrating went but over a month or so its come bck.Dos this sound like a ball joint and if it turns out to be one would it b wiser just to buy new arms as ill b keepin the car for a while yet.

 

Cars due mot this week so might leave it and see what needs doing first but if its only above ill prob keep ,if theres more work needin doin ill prob just sell so might b on the look out for a 1.8 si.

could be a lower arm, bit of a weak point on escorts. wait til your mot and see what they reckon.

Knokin could be arm bushes but they noramly either creak,car moves from side to side under acc or decc.sounds to be more like a bottom ball joint or poss antiroll bar bush/link with the wheel vibration would go for ball joint as it would be worn and lettin the wheel run un true.
