...well ive just done a HPi check on the car im going to be buying on sunday to confirm the mileage as its very low for the age. Its a 1990 G reg on 53,000 miles (one of the reasons I wanted it) and I wanted to confirm this was true because I dont want it to be 153,000! So I done the check and this is a snippet from it:

" Former Keepers 2

Last Keeper Change The last recorded change of keeper occurred on 27 Sep 2007

Mileage 45,000 miles recorded on 31 Oct 2007"

So is this safe to say it is genuine? :)

I would say so. But buying any second hand car always has a bit of risk.

If it looks ok and drives ok then go with it.

mines done 100k.. youd never know :innocent:

yeah i know mileage means nowt, but on a normal G reg escort you would know.

There is quite a difference between 153,000 and 53,000

Did Ford not expect people to go over 99,999 miles in their cars? :P
