Right guys, I got my driving test next week and I'm hoping by next Thursday afternoon around 3.30pm I will be able to jump in my escort and go drive around. One good thing is though because I'm old (24) insurance is still cheap on my 1600 16v zetec beast :innocent: Only cost £630 a year

Got any advice guys?

Good luck!

And you barstool! I pay more than double that on a 1.4 (Group 5)

Advice... Listen to your instructor... read the highway code... get someone to test you on questions... How I passed!

Being nice to your examiner also seems to help but don't expect them to be chatty or smiley during the test... usually blank faced and quiet when you start the engine! :thumb:

as sick and perverted as this may sound knock one out before you go

calms you down hell of alot :thumb:

Keep full concentraightion, remember them manovers, watch out for flying sheep and twats doing three point turns on 40mph carrageways :)

Good luck dude, I did this about 2 months ago. 14 minors, but you drive so so so much better after the test. Thats when the real learning begins!

Good luck! :D I sort of know how you feel, I had my test booked for next month but i'm away doing my fitness test so had to cancel it! :( I'm sure you'll do fine!

Don't hit the curb in the three point turn like I did.

I took the chance and hoped I wouldn't hit it but I did and failed because of it. The 3 point turn CAN be done in 5 and still pass :(

Good luck mate :thumb:

Yea don't be affraid to do a 4-5point turn, it will onyl result in a minor :)
its all about confidence, just treat it like any other normal driving lesson, but watch your lane position :thumb:
if all else fails... bring lots and lots of money :) and a condom :innocent: (even if its a bloke) :D how badly do u want to pass :D

Good luck mate :thumb:

got my first lesson in 31 days :)

You learning in your own car ?
yeah but im putting on 15'' steelies and standard bumpers back on for when im learning.. lol
Took me 4 or 5 goes and they kept failing me on stupid things. Really buggered the last one up, scraped the kerb while driving down a straight road, stalled it, you name it, bloke passed me. He was supposed to be a notorious examiner as well with a very low pass rate. Politics im afraid. Dont worry too much if you fail, it could be down to something as silly as you being part of a 'quota'. Why pass you when they can screw you for a few more test fees first?
