Yeah if the noise is defo coming from there or it could be the heat sheld thats attached to it see if thats loose i pulled mine off

 

failing that it could be the baffles in your exhaust

I'm ignoring it till it wont work then I'll fix it.

allo mate if its the cat making a tingin noise, 9/10 its the internals falling apart, if you need a cat ive got a near brand new onw if you want it pm me if interested

the burble wold make it sound like liquid in the cat to me... i had this on my old cinquecento... turns out the engine was shite and not burning all the ful and thus the cat was 1/4 full of petrol when i removed it... not a good sign i know

if the cats failing then normally it chockes the engine of power aswell, is your car struggling at all?

it doesnt always chock the engine buddy, if small parts of the internals break off this would cause the noise, only in extreme circumstances would it do that.

things i would check is the whole exhaust system, burble seems to me that he either has a blow in the exhaust or the baffles are breaking, tinging noises i would say is the cat internals breaking and rattling. worth a good look under the car, get a small pin hammer, and tap the cat, if things rattle inside ull hear it
