ive went and lost the only key to my car :( unless ive locked it in the car, but i cant get in to find out, but chances are ive completely lost it.

can you use a pats ecu with the conversion, if you have a matching ecu and ignition barrel, door/boot locks and petrol cap? was thinking this would be easier to find than a mk1 mondeo non-pats set. but if anyone has a mondeo non-pats set that would be great?

cheers

No because the Mondeo and Escort PATS systems differ..

thanks to the knowledge of stu, i now know i need a good condition 3door lock set, must consist of ignition barrel, 2 door locks, boot and petrol cap. Doesn't matter about the ecu or engine size, just need a standard issue lock set

cheers

Wouldn't it be easier to get your lock read and get some keys made up? :)

A dealer should be able to do this..

i wouldnt bother goin to the dealer as they can charge a arm and a leg, call out someone who specialises in cutting keys and re-programming them, they can remove a lock, read the lock and make one up for you at your own house, then re-program everything. gotta be cheaper the going to FRAUDS
