August 12, 200816 yr Paypal claim they are really safe, but they aren't as good as they make out! I'm still waiting to claim back from someone who didn't send me the goods, the case went in my favour, but I've still not received a penny.
August 12, 200816 yr Happened to me Pukka when I sold my PSP... The money came through, I transferred it to my bank and then he claimed the money back putting my papal balance to -£200... Took over a year to finally sort, countless letters, emails and phonecalls, in the end I threatened to take PayPal to court. I wrote a polite but firm letter for them to them to set a date and eventually they refunded my negative balance... Looks like it could go on and on for you fella
August 12, 200816 yr if the seller has emptied his paypal account they cant give you anything back, all they do is act as a middle man ,you would have thought they repay you then claim it back after like insurance ,but they dont the whole company is pants especially as ebay own paypal, now you was conned as a buyer and me conned as a seller , I was wondering though it was paid through my Dad's credit card, so can we sort it through the credit card company instead of paypal? Paypal are making enough money, I can't see why they can't claim it back later, or even contact the police (but then again they're as useful as .... they're brilliant ) as it is fraud. August 12, 200816 yr this is one reason i would never buy or sell anywhere outside of the UK. sorry to hear about it steve but im guessing you know how companies work, they dont care about an individual its all about money and not they're problem otherwise.

Looks like it could go on and on for you fella Glad yours worked out ok in the end ,but its different for me as they say I used a delivery method that they do not accept ,all I did was go into a post office and told them what I wanted ,which I now think the buyer was aware of hence me getting scammed What do they 'accept' then?? Surely The Queens mail is good as gospel ???
August 12, 200816 yr Be careful, we had a debt collector come to claim just over 100 quid for paypal, we got off with it after contacting paypal, but dodgy or what!
August 12, 200816 yr What do they 'accept' then?? Surely The Queens mail is good as gospel ??? For the UK they will accept it as a delivery method ,but not international over a certain value ,its crazy then i'd question why they push/allow us to send stuff abroad then, tossers
August 12, 200816 yr Author then i'd question why they push/allow us to send stuff abroad then, tossers exactly as all they want is our money as we pay to list an item then pay a fee if it sells ,then paypal charge to use their service and if below a certain amout they charge us again to transfer the money into our bank accounts which takes a week ,the whole process is crooked
