How big a job is it? My seats have motors to up and down. If I got GTI Seats do they just bolt onto this frame?

Ta.

Yep should do - mine did. Not a big job at all I did mine in an hour or so. I just found it tiring cos im weak :pancake:
The GTi driver seat should have the up/down motor too, so it should just be a case of unbolting the seat from the floor and change.
motors? never knew ford were that advanced?

wiring should be the same so its like for like, easy job

Its not so much a motor, more of a hamster in a wheel.

The rear seats use Torx bolts, T45 I think, All in all should take about an hour. The motor on the seat and the seatbelt tensioners use the same plugs so as Steve said, straight swap, un plug one, plug into other.

If I can do it, anyone can! :D

On the subject of seat changing... Would seats from a Mk5 fit a Mk6?

not without modification and subframes from a doner fiesta etc

sorry to hijack your topic bob but i have just bought some GTI seats to go into my si.

What i would like to know is how easy it is to fit and how easy to wire the seats up so the motor works.

thanks

McBob, does your passenger seat work electrically, the GTi seats only has the drivers that works like that
