i have a mk6 1.4i wont start unless bumped battery reads over 12.5 volts and when key is turnt sum times clicks or theeres nothing any ideas

starter motor is shagged , next time it does it tap the starter with a hammer , but thats what it is if its clicking and not turning over

thought so lol tried that once and it woeked hasnt since

new start motor time then i am afraid

doesnt the click mean that there isnt enough charge? try bump starting and test the voltage. if its less than 13.5v might be the alternator. if you cant even bump start it probably the motor, if you can jump start it with jump leads its probably the alternator

its normally the starter sticking thats why it just clicks ,

had this on an agila! sounds crazy cos u got power in the battery... but try put a new battery in it... the agila is working fine now!

I would first check your battery is holding charge ok ,then as mentioned it will be more than likely a sticking solonoid built on to the side of the starter motor
