Is there anything known as a cheap splitter,

 

What splitter could i use without spending too much, ill paint iot myself just need a decent looking splitter.

Laguna splitter vented, few quid from the scrappy, easy fit dont paint just clean & back to black.

I took up your advice and have been looking for one for a while, but every scrappy that has the old lagunas have already had the splitters nicked.. i understand the mk4 astra one will work, and a few Seat's.. can anyone gimme a list of cars they know the splitters will fit the mk6 escort? then i can go roam about and know what im looking for

Astra, Leon Cupra R (Not Definite on that one), Ibiza, Laguna Vented + Unvented, Espace, Escort Cossie

As said, they will fit but here is my opinion:

 

EVO do a cossie bib which I use to have, direct fit and looks the nuts but cost approx £100 + painting

 

Cupra R is only £21 new, BUT will need alot of work to make it fit right, including cutting bits off and smoothing over/repainting and is also a pain to secure on.

 

Astra looks nice if you dont mind the gap in the middle.

 

A bumper trim from a mk3 fiesta IIRC has been taken in the past to fit straight onto the bumper to form a splitter.

 

Laguna or espace are the best, on ebay sometimes go for as high as £30-40 but you can someytimes find a bargain and they fit straight on with self tapper and don't need painting

The gap looks good if you've got a fogged escort bumper, as where the gap begins is where the fog lights end

 

And scrappy's best if you want a splitter, people charge loads for them on here and ebay etc

aye, i look the look of the cupra splitter, and for 20 quid new it aint bad, but i cant be arsed with having to go too much effort to make it fit.

probs go to the scrappy and see what they have. i noticed last time someone had already taken all the laguna splitters, but there was a megane one (R reg i think), reckon that'd fit?

i have the fogged bumper too, and i do think it looks good on yours, so if i cant find anything local on the weekend, i know of a couple vauxhall breakers near leeds, i'm sure they'll have one thanks for the advice lads.

perfect advise.. i got mine,non vented tho,for a fiver from the scrappy, it was uncut aswell so was a bargain.

Mine was £15, but I bought mine from an Evo'er, apparently you can get them cheaper than that from the scrap yard

2.9 24v Granada Scorpio Cosworth splitter. Looks great on a fogged bumper imo, its what I had on my old escort. Fits on with ease too
