PeeWee Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 I arrived about 1pm, car park was a bit more full than usual causing us to park a bit staggered, in fact Marky Mark & his magical arches felt honoured enough to simply park slap bang in the road itself lol. Nice turnout & a few new faces too, Star Escort made the long journey and its always nice to see faces from afar so well done you. Special thanks to MikeW as well for making the long haul and still look fresh (still cant get over those damn xmas trees mike, i was high as i bloody kite getting out of your car). Well organised by Danposs as usual & a big thumbs up for your effort mate.Surprise visit from Trigspeed racing too & was great to see you as always (even with your weird button fetish, "roof up, roof down, roof up, oh hang on lets leave it half way". Took absoulutely loads of pics (uploading them now) & the sunshine was lovely.Big thanks to everyone that made the effort to come & hope to see many of you at blackpool in September. star-escort Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 Yeah.i made a few d-tours. :s haha.i was a lil shy, then i got shouted at on the way out of trafford center. due to going the wrong way down a 1 way system..(in the car park) silly old lady. i opend my mouth and i think she realized i wasnt from around here I made it to my brothers new flat in one peace. then went to asda oppersit the meet.. MIKE W Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 Was a good little meet, not a bad turnout......Even had a surprise visit from Trig, always a pleasure, apart from when he was chasing me round the car park trying to give me a kiss PMSL.... Was a good laugh though and I learnt A LOT lol…As per usual I was picked on for being from Manchester and couldn’t get my head round why people were paying for stuff in shops..... Good to speak to the usual people Trig, Mark, Dan, Pete etc and also meet some new faces. Good to speak to Star-Escort, thanks for letting me steal your space, even after I nearly ran your feet over when I arrived . Also good to meet Phil Smith and SteGti (is that right lol)... Big Thanks to Dan for organising this amazing day and Trig for supervising the event, it was such a well organised event, fantastic facilities. Shame some were called away! The day was ruined though... The gearbox is now very much on it's last legs. Sounds a bit rough in 4th and 5th and if you go down the gears or slow in any gear you get a high pitch whining/griding noise. 3rd to 2nd is now impossible so it's clutch in, brake then into 1st.Felt like planting the car into the nearest wall and have done with it... Took the M60 S+E and headed for the M6 Birmingham... then took the M6 junction which was also for A556 Northwich then Northwich on the A50 to Stoke!
