www.detailingworld.com can be your friend, if you can spend the time understanding a bit of what they are all on about.

In the detailing section on here Mike C has put up a list of his favourite products, which is ok as a guide and if you are willing to spend that money.

To start though you want:

2 buckets

Lambswool mit (2 for £12)

Shampoo (I use Megs shampoo plus from here Cleanyourcar.co.uk)

Microfibre cloths (I still have some for sale if you are interested)

Polish (AG Super resin polish is a good one, decent value for money)

Wax (This is awesome and good value)

All that wont be too expensive and will keep you looking after the car for a very, very, very long time

There is so much out there to do different things with.

I know Simon had it detailed not too long ago but this might be of good use to you

This might be of interest

If it wasnt sealed when it was last detailed then you might benefit from using the Carlack NSC after washing/before waxing. And that little kit is decent value

i used:

2 Bucket method With a Wool mitt (Standard Wash which i did everytime)

Rinse the Car off

Snow Foam: Megs hyper Wash ( Karcher Jet wash, and the foam lance) let it soak for around 5-10mins depending how bad it is

Shampoo - Chemical Guys Maxi Suds 2, a good wash all over, with the wool mitt, then rinse off,

Snow Foam Again, let settle, then wash off

Miracle Drying towl - dry off all the water!

Detailer - Chemical guys Fully syn detailer spray, applied with a micro fibre cloth

Wax - Dodo juice with a wax applicator pad, do it once a month or so

Chemical Guys - New Look Trim Gel

jobs a good one

just a quck walk through
