rs2k2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 My misses is now 12 weeks pregnant and we have had out first scan, but we both worry about what could happen in the worst case secenrio (sp?). We seem to worry more about that then the good things that we have to come. Just wish i could tell 24 hours a day that everythin is going to be ok and turn out for the best. So just looking for encourgment and advice really, neither of us have ever been thru this before so bit stuck really lol. thanks people!!!
geordie_aaron Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 we were on a high throughout the WHOLE pregnancy - nothing could put us down, and if anything came remotely close - listening/feeling him kick in her stomache (later on obviously) or abit baby shopping cured it!! :-D do NOT be afraid to go to the hospital if your worried..... ours encouraged us to go even if we didn't think it was important - they genuinely LOVED helping couples through their pregnancy/birth
rs2k2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 i hope it al goes to plan, watching eastenders dnt help lol..
scottg17 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 im not a dad or to be infact but dont stress over the possibilites will only put stress on things.
Craig855S Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Look after her, Dont let her do anything too strenuous (but that doesnt mean she can become a vegetable - carrying a few bags of shopping and washing dishes are still on)Dont be afraid to visit the midwife for things that dont seem right to u (u may feel silly but its always best to check)Congrats and enjoy the next 7 months, and more importantly, the arrival of the baby. My first son has just turned one and its been the best year ever
Mk6 Si Ross Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 just agree with everything she says and does!!
marsbar1973 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 If you have any concerns, call and speak to your midwife. That's what their there for.I like you always worried, but that subsided after the main scan at 16-18 weeks, and after the main blood test results had come in. I'm in a high risk group for spina bifida, so was always on edge. That and the fact of having 2 miscarriages, the 1st at 10 weeks and the 2nd at 6 weeks caused more worry. If she's healthy and had a good report from GP's and midwives, then all should be ok. I understand the worry, but it's making her stress more than she ought to be. Try to relax and be positive. If either of you want a chat, I'm here. Also www.bounty.com is a good website and has a forum for asking questions.
karl Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 every thing will be fine if they happy with the scan then dont worry. they will let you know at first signs of anything wrong. so be enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts
Browser Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 just agree with everything she says and does!! i kept thinkin what if but you will soon be exited about it! its a bit scary when its your first but you will love it when the babies there! Congrats by the way!
