RyanML
Hey, My 360 died the other week... and as much as id like to give £48 to microsoft to fix my problem... i cant bring myself to do it... so basically i have a single red light showing E74 hardware failure, ive been told by many that this is an easy fix, buuuut how do i go about doing it? anyone else done somthing simular on here? Im talking about a proper fix, no towel tricks involved here.. just pure removing the case to repair it properly... anyone have any ideas? or websites that could help? cheers. mykez69
hi ryan i got a nice site that gives you a guide to take 360 apart, im unaware about this failure though try google? youtube? 360 Dismantling Guide do it blink? or is it pernamntly on? Thats a A/V problem i think. Try a different A/V cable first, if that doesnt fix it, then something is wrong internal with the GPU or the A/V socket. mykez69
ah! good point i guess to be fair, 48 quid aint that bad, its garunteed, you won't be able to buy a cheaper 360 doing your self is a risk is there no 3rd party sites that might be cheaper but can fix? robexor
Or buy a new one for about £100 and get 3 year warranty on ROD. And the new 360's have been "fixed" by Microsoft, new power supply and cooling fans
