KNITERIDER
my first car was this, perfect condition not a spot of rust ANYWEAR the previous owner wrote a diary of how he took off and checked the brakes drums etc etc and replaced them even when not worn to be on the safe side, got pulled out on by a lorry and mushed the passenger side, got it fixed but 2 months later skidded on a roundabout (spilled petrol/diesel) and hit the kurb smashin drive shaft wheel suspension etc etc sold for £500 as it was finnesse 1.6 W reg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17468.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17469.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17470.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17471.jpg my next car was this pug 306 XLDT 1.9 on a P plate had a few teething problems (had been stood for two years) heater didnt work (sticking relay) and needed a windscreen. was a brilliant workhorse, quicker than the 1.6 and stuck to the road like sh*t to a blanket, clutch went eventually so swapped it for full recaro interior and stealth shelf http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17472.jpg bought this but only kept it for 3 days before returning it to the shop as it developed a nasty misfire on the journey home, and reallly hesitant when you put your foot down, only good points about it was the gti interior and rs2000 wheels (1.8si ash black) http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17473.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17474.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17475.jpg then bought this off my gran for £75 for a runaround while looking for another escort but found one as soon as id bought it so sold it for £300, was the best condition and best running rover iv been in 1993 218sd with 108,000 miles(was in our family from new (mum&dad, gran then me) http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17476.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17477.jpg and then i got another 1.8si escort (1.8si on a s plate 88,100 miles no rust panther black) just the one pic as you all know it (if not look in SUYM) http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/17478.jpg well the si suffered a hot and fiery death (im hoping to get all the goorry pics up this weekend from my crash http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21504.jpg so im now in my new motor, a mk5 1991 1.6s. got a few plans for it including a "real" engine some rs2000 skirts splitter black 16" multispoke wheels brake upgrade and a few "little" touches http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/19371.jpg now looks like this: http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21505.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21506.jpg still lots left to do to it though currently has new engine in just need to sort loom and driveshafts out i also have this: http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21507.jpg which cost NOTHING just awaiing tax and MOT which will be a boring GTI rep whith a few extras like angel eyes etc and one of these which will be on the road in a fortnight also (not exact pic as i havnt got one, its dark green on steels 1.9 turbo diesel) http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21508.jpg just bought this at the weekend, peugeot 106 1.5 diesel. KNITERIDER
lol might as well am thinking of selling second hand motors tho, buy one sell for profit buy another etc...but naaaa got the white one for weekends and track, the silver ones been lent to mel so she can sell her focus, the green citroen was gonna be for work but failed its MOT on a couple of things (its being sold) and the new pug was a pressie. was for sale across the road and my gran got it me for an early 21st present (not 21 till april 23rd!!!) for work on the proviso i leave it standard ( ) its a good little tool. bit slow from 60 upwards but motors for a n/a diesel (only weights about 850kg) and GREAT on fuel. iv been very heavy footed and got 150 from 1/4 of a tank only thing i AM changing is speakers and cd player as it only has two speakers and its a bit naff so just bought some upgraded front speakers, hopefully getting some 69's for the back and put my sub in and im done handles like its on rails to, great fun made stoney squeel lmao
