Power: 150bhp (Citroen Figs.) http://images2.speurders.nl/images/21/2183/21832672_4.jpg - 2000 Mondeo 2.0 Zetec: First 'proper' car and it was pretty quick, did a lot of miles in it cause I was working thru in Kirkcaldy at the time.. when I'd finished with it, I gave it to my dad so he could use it in London and not worry about getting dents/dings in his car. I absolutely loved this car and threw thousands at it. I was getting pissed off at the RS being tempremental in traffic and breaking wee things now and again..... so, I went and bought this from Town and County in Perth. It was quick, handled well, sounded awesome and it never ever let me down despite getting a large amount of VTEC every day. So after I blew it up the first night I had it, I went for a B18 conversion on it..... after that it really did go like a train, things werent meant to be though and it spun a bearing and I sold it on eBay and recovered pretty much all my money I'd spent. Great fun, smoked loads of stuff in that including a 911 Carrera 4S & new E55 AMG among other things. It had the Twin Cam Honda Engine so its actually pretty quick and with the DIY Motorsport Induction Kit I fitted to it, it sounds awesome too.. Bought a few parts for it, then got an offer from a guy I know through in Arbroath so I sold it on to him. I actually made good money on the car by trading it in for the SpecG. Done a few more mods to it since, and its almost exactly how I want it to be, defo the best car I've ever owned. It had 1 elderly owner from new, mint condition, never been welded or had paint and ran like a dream. After I sold my Series 2 RS Turbo, I went from car to car quite regularly, kept wanting to try new things and seem to have always returned to Subarus. Which is why I went for the STi.... thats coming up for 2 years now, apart from the RST, the longest I've kept a car. Dont see me selling it anytime soon either, it ticks too many boxes and the only thing I could see replacing it is an RS4 or Porsche 911..... which at 25yrs old, are a wee bit out of my reach!! Haha. Ryan, I will defo be there.. if I can get the SpecG taxed up without losing a months worth then I'll bring it, if not, then I'll be shotgun in a friends Hawkeye STi. Back in the day, you could write off a months tax when a years worth cost 180ish but when it costs £400+ for tax its a bit harder to let a month slide. Craig, to be honest mate, I drove a UK Integra TypeR a couple of months before I bought my JDM model. The UK left me pretty underwhelmed, on paper its a 10bhp difference but in the real world its a fair old difference. I'm still on and off that site... its a reasonable place to find cheap parts and keep up with what could be happening in the area, but I certainly dont go shouting about being on a 'cruise' site. Chicane, I used to keep cars for about 6-9 months at a time.. but I've had two at the same time, and sometimes I've had three at the same time when I've been able to do that. Longest I've owned a car was about 3 years, that was my S2 RS Turbo, the current Impreza STi has lasted nearly 2 years but its up for sale at the moment because I'm very keen to do a deal on an Escort Cossie.
