Mike C
I've had an e-mail in my outbox since friday. Problem is the file sizes are too large! It's been trying to send since friday morning, and I no longer need to send it. I tried to delete it, but it just comes up with "Outlook has already began transmitting message". Now I've got a queue of e-mails behind it that I need to be sent, but none of the will send until this one has, which it doesn't look like it will! Gadge
Hi Try giving this a try http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm Its possible it could be to-do with the integration of the virus scanner as well however creating a new .pst file will most likely solve the problem if nothing else does. Charley
I had that problem last week, I cancelled the send/receive then it let me delete the email I didn't want sending after pressing delete on the keyboard a few times

Mike C
You trying creating a new .pst file and it still didn't work? I've created one, but where it tells you to load the new one, I can't see what option I'm supposed to be using?

Mike C
Tried disconnecting your network? How do I do that? You mean the "work offline thing"? I have the new pst file in place now, but still can't delete it or the old outbox

I have the new pst file in place now, but still can't delete it or the old outbox No. Just unplug your network. Outlook will try to connect to your server then give up. You should then be able to delete the offending message.

Mike C
Sorted now After all that I did it by simply switching to "Work Offline" and then it allowed me to delete it, so needn't have bothered with all the .pst file stuff Cheers Stu, may need to do that in the future sometime, lol
