Right, here we go.

I had just finished work at 10.30 in the evening and i went home and got changed then left to go to my girlfriends house. Its not far away, maybe 3 miles. Anyway, i turned left at sproughton round about going towards the old London road. ( I know everyone wont know what these roads are but oh well) I had just got into the 30 zone and i was doing just under 40 and i saw a car coming up fast behind me, he pulled out and started to overtake, he was doing about 80mph. Just as he got level with me a car came round the corner so he swerved in my lane, so i swerved to the left. (If i dint move he would of hit me) he narrowly missed me. By this point i was sliding to the left, so i couter steered off the enbankment, then my back end popped out and i slid across the road, hit the enbankment on the over side, and it fliped me in the air and the car rotated twice, then i landed by hitting the field with the front of the car, but luckerly i landed on all four wheels. It knocked me out as i hit my head on the window. I came too after a few seconds, and looked around for a bit wondering what had happened, then i was like Shite. So i phoned my mum and her and my step dad said they were on there way (They were about 8 miles from me) then i phoned my best mate for some reason, then i phoned my girlfriend and she couldnt even talk because the amount she was crying lol. Her mate phoned her dad and he was there within like a minute. (Baring in mind that was only the second time i had met him lol) He towed me out of the field and too my house.

So to finish up, all i had was a headache. I am very greatful to still have my life.

Well thanks for listening.

You were both speeding approaching a bend remember!

Maybe if he was doing 80mph vs you under 40mph maybe you could of dropped back to let him go when level and surely with the difference in speed he could of well passed?

Scary moment though & im really glad your ok, could of been a far worse outcome.

Thats what I was going to say.

If you were doing the limit (bearing in mind the driving conditions recently) do you rekon you would of been able to safely manouver to avoid the damage?? No need to get worked up over it as you were both breaking the law and although you were not breaking it "as bad" as the other guy, you still came off worse.

On the other hand, glad no one was seriously hurt. I know what it's like to be in a crash like this, as do many others and all will agree it's not nice to look back at. Endo of the day, its only a bit of metal that was damaged, nothing worse.
