mykez69
you might be able to if you install xbox media centre but you need splinter cell, a memory card and then xbm on a disc
Stu
Yes, there is XBMC - however the CPU isn't very fast in the XBOX so you'll be limited to divx type stuff, nothing HD.
sortedford
I have the media center on it, from when it was chipped, but never watched movies, just played games. Would you be able to watch MKv's if the file was loaded on the HDD rarther than streaming? also how would i go about updating the codecs on the XBMC? i've never really done anythign with it before? Cheers for the knowlage so far
mykez69
you ftp the xbox to a pc, filezilla is a good program you can store your movies on the hard drive and games etc updating codecs you just need to install the latest version of xbmc, however like stu said divx is your limit you can install music and photo's too it also depends what dashboard your running on it different dashboard will do different things, maybe one supports streaming http://www.xbox-scene.com/ that's a pretty good site, tutorials etc so you can learn what each dashbaord and exploit does Edited February 13, 2009 by mykez69
