StewLX
This is my car history for the last 9 years or so, you will see a running theme http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rovermettyblue.jpg Rover Metro 1.1 quest my first car! Had one or two small mods like a boot spoiler and GTi alloys. Best part about this car is it took me round donington park on a track day Got scraped after I failed to make it into a track car.. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rovergti.jpg Rover Metro 1.4 GTi, this was pretty awesome for what it was. Had quite a few mods and went like stink. Was dyno'ed at 121BHP. Only had it a month when I demolished a wall with it http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rovermetwhitefrontsav.jpg Rover Metro 1.1Si bought cheap I'm sure it was under £100. Ran it for about a year before it failed an MOT for being a rust bucket! http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rovermettkffront.jpg Rover Metro 1.4 Auto, Now this little beast had to be the most fun. Constantly variable auto box meant constant acceleration, It was basically a Go-kart and drove like one! Head gasket went on this one which was a shame it was fun.. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rover100Front.jpg Rover 100 1.1, Had this for about 2 years ran really well got a bit tired in the end and had to go.. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/Rover214whitefront.jpg Rover 214Si 16V, bought for about £400 ran for about 2 years with two head gasket failures! one a week before crimbo 2007 was the last straw. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/maestrofront.jpg MG Maestro 1600, got this mainly to rescue it from death but never got round to sorting it out. It was left hand drive and german. Had a talking dash board too which was interesting since it spoke more languages than me. Never got to drive it but now its living a new life all sorted out and going to shows. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/stewgti/RoverBlue.jpg Rover 214SLi 16v, Emergency purchase after the white one blew its top, it was crap when I bought it and it was even worse when I part ex'ed it for the escort And if you want to see the new motor check this post >> My New Escort Or look down there \/ \/

StewLX
The red metro went to a fair few shows all in the space of a month lol They were all cheap as chips and you could fling them round corners without really worrying about to much. Even with the standard suspension handled like a go kart. If you ever get chance to drive a GTi give it a go its seriously good fun to drive! You will laugh at how fast they actually are mind you its only a bean can
tomm
I used to hate these things with so much passion! BUt then a buddy let me have a wee drive in his and it was great great great fun! I had a 1.4 Si i think it was or some thing like that which i pinched the engine out of. I think the only metro i would buy would be a A-series Turbo
