Lee_2f2f
I discovered this last night as Mine is doing the exact same (only bought the game on sunday) Nintendo has today announced that their recently released first party game, Super Paper Mario, has a game destroying bug in it which causes your Wii to freeze and in need of some reset button loving. The full details of how to recreate the bug have been released on Nintendo Europe’s official site: At the start of Chapter 2-2, you will come across a character called Mimi. She will tell you to go to the farthest room on the first floor to meet a character called Merlee. Enter that room and press the green switch. A trap will be triggered, and a spiked ceiling will descend upon Mario. Before the ceiling reaches him, flip into 3D and jump on it to find a key. If you pick up the key, you won’t run into any problems. Use it to open the locked door to Mimi’s right. However, if you talk to Mimi without picking up the key, the game will freeze. You will then have to turn off your Wii console and start again from your last save point. ---------------------- Apparently Nintendo will replace your Bugged copy, but I dont know how.... Lee_2f2f
you spose to get the key first, then talk to her well Mike, for us who havent played the game before dont know that the key is hidden on top of the spikes, I only found that out after searching Nintendo's site about the problem. that is why you talk to 'mimi' so you can figure out where the key is first. It is easier to get the key yes. but I shouldnt have to be sold a damaged game?? for the price of games, I expect them to work. mykez69
the game isn't damaged, replacing it with another wouldnt work unless they remade the whole game, they said would replace anyways so it aint like you have been done out of money for a game imo wouldnt be worth it when so many poeple who had this game new how to get past that point before nintendo released the info on the site anyways you got past it, its only known bug in the game, so wouldnt worry Edited March 5, 2009 by mykez69
