caled
Just managed to clip the nearside rear door and arch whilst going through a really narrow passageway into a carpark behind the chippy. Concentrating on not scratching the front end and wasnt paying attention to the rear. Anyway, the damage.. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18670.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18671.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18672.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18673.jpg Anyone any idea how much this might set me back trying to get it sorted? I'm happy enough fixing the skirts and bumpstrips myself, Im on the look out for a replacement door in tourmallard green, but I'm gonna need someone to do the arch for me. Anyone had anything similar done on their cars?

caled
Cheers mate, but I managed to grab the jacking cover. It's in better nick than the rest of the skirt, but I had to sand down and spray that to start with anyway, so I'll just fibreglass and respray. As I said, the only real problem is the arch. I don't suppose anybody knows a decent bodyshop around south manchester way? Or in/around liverpool?

Lee_2f2f
I don't suppose anybody knows a decent bodyshop around south manchester way? Or in/around liverpool? Give 'Autorestore' a ring, there mobile accident repair and do some amazing stuff, could easily fix that arch but dont know how much it is though. Autorestore are located in stretford where I use to work, so not too far (depending on where you are)

caled
Where abouts in Ardwick is this place mate? I work on Brunswick Street so could walk to work from there lol. Went up to the scrappies in Bury today, Hurst St, must be about 7 or 8 scrappies there. Managed to find a tourmallard green ghia in pretty good nick, looked like it hadnt been there long either as it still had most of the stuff attached.Went and bought a new nearside rear door, plus 4 colour coded door handles and a tourmallard green fogged bumper in good nick. My lucky day, eh? Oh, and a relay for a 6 speed wiper if anyone needs one, otherwise itll be sitting around as my spare. Got a quote on repairing the arch, £150 including respraying, plus another £90 to redo the door to get rid of some nice scratches.

caled
Aye, this place seems about right then.I tried another place that said they mostly did insurance work on top range cars, wanted nigh 500 for it. Although he did point out that itll be done to a point where itll make the rest of the car look tatty lol. btw RyanML, I love your car. heh. Mine will very soon be quite similar. Except for the RS7s, which I think I might need to sell a kidney for.

caled
quick update. Got the door on yesterday. It's filthy and pretty scratched. But here it is..http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18711.jpg So that's gonna get resprayed so it'll look like the other side:http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18712.jpg Still haven't got round to fitting the new bumper, will probably do that this weekend, if the weather is still sunny. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18713.jpg
caled
Had a bit of a play around outside whilst it was dry today. Fitted the new front bumper and colour coded door handles. Part way through.http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18776.jpg And eventually on, my arm is red raw from getting the old bumper off. Ford didnt make that as easy as they couldve done.http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18777.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18778.jpg And because I like this anglehttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18779.jpg Anyone any idea what these plug into?http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18780.jpg Also found the fog light wiring loom tucked up under my arches, woooo.
