craigc86si
i think this is the right section to put this so feel free to move it if it needs be. thought i would post this here as you guys know what your talkin about.lol basically my missus reversed into her mother's car the other day an she needs a rough estimate on how much it will cost to repair, her mum wants her to go through her insurance but she would lose her no claims bonus etc and i thought it would be better to get it done ourselves. here it is: http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18705.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18706.jpg the paint work is scratched, not really visible in the pics sorry as it isnt too bad, anybody got a rough idea how much it would cost to fix this?any help would be much appreciated thanks
Apnea
Under £100, get a PDR specialist to do it.
alex g
so long as the sill hasnt been creased you should get away with just pulling out the dent, but may require filler work to be perfect. if thats the case i would expect to pay around £150. craigc86si
i dont think the sill is dented jus the panel and light scratching to the paint work, prices sound reasonable so far, her mum flipped out and reckoned it was guna cost the earth.lol
caled
I just got quoted £150 to fix a much worse dent and scratch than that. Definitely not worth doing through insurance.

alex g
the reality is that insurence companies will most likely write the car off (dependant on age) if its claimed for, as said, not worth getting insurance involved.
caled
Dear god, did we all use the same font in our sigs? The excess is more than likely a fair amount more than the cost of repair. I know mine is.
Apnea
As long as she could live with teeny weeny scratch then PDR will sort it nicely, and honestly, dont attempt to push it out yourself, its not as simple as you think.

chrisxn
Dear god, did we all use the same font in our sigs? HAHAHA! That really made me laugh! I had a slightly smaller dent pulled straight out at a dent repair place or about £60 Paintless dent removal it were.. Left a little ripple in the paint, but you could only see it in the sunlight :/
craigc86si
am in the process of makin a new sig now but yea it seems quite a popular font.lol
escortjas
Just get the dent removed, will cost a pittance. And the scratches dont look too bad, you might be able to touch them up yourself later on.
Craig855S
PDR will sort it and i imagine it wont cost more than £150 tops. And if the paint aint perfect after the repair im sure the paint could be sorted cheaply too..using wetsanding or a good G3ing
