Barry-334
if he has offered to pay, and you have all his details, then he may stay true to his word. wait till monday (as you have mentioned) and if he doesn't pay up then contact your insurance, giving them all his details. you could settle "cash-in-lieu" on his insurance and get it done privately. its not a difficult repair and the scuff on the headlamp may polish out, depending on how deep it goes
Brett_LX
Only thing thats going to sting you is the paint job mate, my brother has just had a smash in his astra mk4, £100 for pattern bumper and wing, £150 painted and fitted but thats only because i know him so it might be a lil bit more for you. and headlights £140 off ebay(angels)

bluliz
.. and it not written off. but 2 panels and a light on a £750 escort... huh dont get it ? You might get lucky and it wont get written off (if you go through the insurance). but when its that much damage and the insurance companies will value a non RS mk6 as a max of 750 I'd have thought Basically keep ya fingers crossed he does want to settle in cash!!!
