Chris Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 How much do u recon it would cost to get a 2.0 put in me car and what other things would i need to ensure it would run perfect as im thinking if i am going to keep my car for another year i may aswell put another engine in it. Pelles Posted June 14, 2003 Share Posted June 14, 2003 (edited) depends how you want the conversion mate, like what sort of 2.0l do you want? mondy 2.0l (will fit straight in without too much work) or focus 2.0l (will require a wee bit of work) the price will also depend on what sort of engine you have in it just now, if you have a 1.4 or 1.3, then you have to uprate your brakes and suspension which alone for a decent setup is probably 1k, the engine, a perfect 2.0l engine, i was quoted £650 quid, dunno on labour tho... the mpg, on my 2.0l focus, i can get an average mpg of between 28 to 33mpg, when i floor it the mpg goes down to 5mpg! tells me that on the onboard computer.....so it rarely gets booted lol Edited June 14, 2003 by Pelles Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
