rs2k2008
As im about to become a dad for the first time very soon i am looking at getting a new car, (my misses wont let me have a scooby till i brought a family car first ) At the mo i drive a crappy little rover, and i was thinking instead of going out getting a car for 2k i thought maybe it would be worth sticking with the rover for 12 months and save a bit of money. So i was looking spending 5-6k grand on one buy this time next yeah. I was looking at the lexus is200 and the bmw 3 series (w reg and higher) i know its sometime of but can u get luxury car like that for that sort of money. Would love to hear your views and that. hamspeed
I thought the H/G went on the Rover? You may aswell just buy something sensible like a Focus or a Mondeo then save the rest for something interesting...

Craig855S
U get get a W reg 5 series for less than a W reg 3 series of the same engine and extras...so why would anyone pick the smaller car? If u have the money for a scooby and u want one then get one,if however insurance and fuel are an issue then dont get one. And BTW,its BOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dutchkev
this might be hard to swallow - but an estate will be a god-send when the little one is older. plenty of nice mondeo and focus estates out there, the beemer would be nice but think sensible some b-e-a-utifull volvo estates out there, but if estates are not your cuppa tea then go for practicallity - a citreon berlingo or a fiat multipla! shawdreamer
Ive been using S reg V70 volvo estate for the last two weeks until I got round to replacing the clutch qaudrant on the escort, as cars go it drives pretty smooth, interiors pleasant (if a bit to beige bland) and plenty of torque if ya wanna pull anything about in the back or trailer, my neighbour scooped it up out the auctions for 500ish, says its not a unusually low price for that type of motor in the auctions right now. Craig855S
Volvo estate....got one, its an ace family car, properly good, just a shame its not fast (engine note is awesome though and i like putting my foot down, safe, cheap, big brakes, ticks all my boxesBerlingo....as u may remember i was looking into these when i was between the escort and the volvo...because theyre immensely practical (if u get one with all the cubbies like overhead and underfloor stoorage) and jeremy clarkson said they ride as well as a jaguar!
