Trig
All you football fans out there, thake some time out of your day to think about the 96 fans that died at Hillsborough 20 years ago. Its a tradgedy that signalled the end of the fenced in stands. So all of us that go to football games, to sit in the seats, with plenty of stewards out to look after the fans, just think about those that lost their lives for what we have today. Justice for the 96, YNWA
sidrick
My sympathies to the families of those who perished. Absolutely tragic That's all I'll say just now, and I'll save my views for a less important day.

shawdreamer
yanno what, I was hoping to avoid this particular topic but I decided I dont give a flying fcuk if this doesnt go down well and Im entitled to a rant on it!, Im scouse, born, bred, lived and escaped....two of my freinds died at that ground along with a brother and a father too... and you know what I think everytime I see the fuckin thing dragged back up, "leave it afuckinlone", Im sick to death of some unscrupulas arse of a documentary director making a quick few thousand off playing up the tragedy every five, ten, fifteen year aniversary ffs. the families of my two freinds are pretty much in agreement with me, they dread the sodden docu interviewers ringing and knocking on their doors every 5 years. 96 died, a tragedy caused by stupidity, bad judgement and a fuckin pointless obsession with a useless game(the latter being my own opinion), but its been 20 years ffs, let the families move on I say. ....phew that felt good to get out..... carry on

However, ya cant just say leave the families alone and move on, the x amount of thousand at Anfield today were thinkin of the victims, and no doubt most of the people who died families were prob there too. Nothing wrong with remembering them IMO, and im pretty sure NO money was made today, OR on the docu drama that currently has and always did have me in tears that is on ITV3 at the moment. P.S. Believe me when i say I am NOT after an argument, you are entitled to your opinion and so am i.

Craig855S
Time has passed so now we can voice opinions which may be controversial. I know fcuk all about football and havent looked into the hows and whys butt ive seen it on the news constantly the other day (didnt watch the docu drama) Who is it people are blaming and want to see punished for what happened? Because, and i may be wrong here...the only people to blame are the 5,000 people who barged in without tickets to see...people kick a ball U cant expect a few police to be able to hold back 5,000 scousers who wont take no for an answer... What does YNWA mean?

What does YNWA mean? You'll never walk alone. The justice regards the families that lost those in the tragedy searching for someone to blame, mainly the police, and then the government. In reality it was the result of the fans themselves (the collective, not those that died) that the tragedy occurred. The interweb is awash with details on the disaster. Heysel is another 'good' read, but has little/nothing to do with this incident. Edited April 22, 2009 by sidrick
