Leeroy_Si
6 weeks ago i decided to buy me a set of spanking new 17" alloys. After seeing an advert for 20% off all wheel & tyre package off to halfords i went. After much head scratching i decided to go for the newly redesigned fox 6 at a price of £575. When i placed the order, the guy said there was a 4-6 week waiting list for this wheel design cause it was new. Fair enough i thought, i can just about manage a 6 week wait. 6 weeks is now up, so i went to see halfords this morning, "Sorry mate, these wheels are gunna be another 4-6 weeks!" What the is the point of selling the bloody wheels, if they can't get hold them! Now i have to either wait, or get a different design. I am one unhappy chappy

mr_b
i know how you feel. but there is a back log on alloys at the moment, and its cos of the 20% off thing alloy wheel sales shot right up. i know that don't help you but they are not bullshitting you, nobody expected sales to go up as much as they did and now we are waiting on the manufactures to produce the wheels and get them to us. Leeroy_Si
The worrying thing is, the guy at halfords said the factory in italy that makes them shuts down at the end of july, and if the wheels havent been shipped by then, it could cause some problems! mr_b
MrB you really do like your company dont yas! its the staff training video's they brainwash you into loving the company.not really, i agree with most people halfords are sh!te. take a long time to get hold of anything most of the staff know jack sh!t about cars. i was just explaining whats going on with alloys at the moment cos no doubt the staff he spoke to just said that they were delayed and did not explain why. Paulo
your rite it is very poor service. because you were quoted that timeframe you should be able to get a refund. if you decide to wait youd be better off getting the wheels from the new factory in germany. its the same place they make split rims for carrera 911 cup so they should be better quality. otherwise there aint much point moaning as it will get you no-where, as the list is a list and there is no way anyone (including non-halfords people (unless they have stocks which is unlikely)) can get hold of them as it is highly likely that your wheels dont even exist yet. man this sort of weather is far to nice to be wasting moaning at poxy companies paul (ex-employee) b
