Restoring Colour

I just thought I would throw this one at the Forum as you all seem to be very good for advice. My radiant red has faded as a result of the blistering sunshine we get in this country, does anyone know how to restore the paint work back to how it once was? The spoiler is worse for some reason and the doors are that faded they look like they are off another motor :(

Its been covered a few times before. Peewee even did a great guide on his Red car.

Try taking a look through his old topics, And try looking in the detailing section as that's were this will get moved too.

Exactly!

Please use the search function before randomly posting, there is a wealth of advice already documented here if you take a moment to look first. :thumb:

i had the same problem but not as bad as yours

it was only mirrors and bumpstrips

i used t-cut three times with 10min intervals for drying before buffing off

then used autoglm to polish up did that twice and now there is no pink on my car

and have just spent four hours today cleaning the full car and polished it all again

T-cut = Fail

it does the job and will do the job on this members car :thumb:

slowly, but not surely

if you want a porper nice long lastnig job, get the proper stuff, you can get hand polishing compounds over on cleanyoucar.co.uk

alot easier and better than T-cut

Rubbing compound then autoglym super resin & waxed to seal it, dont waste your time with t-cut.
