Phill
You didn't feel the opportunities at your last place would let your skills develop. Whereas this new company is just what you're looking for. Or something.
Dean-o
not sure if this is gonna help u matebut the best way to approach an interview is the fact that you already have a job, so dont be thinking why do u want this new job, but be thinking why do they want you to work 4 them.it helped me, was more relaxed all the best m8

RICH V
You didn't feel the opportunities at your last place would let your skills develop. Whereas this new company is just what you're looking for. Or something. this is a good response.. i am an assistant manager and always am impressed when people say things like this. thing is, some replies work well in some interviews and some dont... dont forget to do all the other usual crap like sit up straight, dont look at the floor etc.. and its a good idea to have some questions to ask them such as " if i am sucessfull, and can give you what you are looking for, what opportunities are there for further developing my career" or summat along these lines ! best of luck anyway
Scuba Matt
First impressions mate... make sure your dressed appropriately and walk in the room with confidence standing tall. Sounds stupid but alot of what people judge you by is in those first few moments. Also think before you reply to the questions . If you have a small delay then answer they won't think any the worse of you and sometimes that extra little bit of thought enable you to answer it more in a way that will suit their expectations. Don't take too long though Also if they ask any questions about things like weekneses be prepared the above example was a great one for that. If your asked something like your worst fault be prepared with an answer like " my worst fault is trying to do everything to a exceptional standard it annoys me when tings aren't done right" They love answers like that sounds a bit like your sucking up but Shite if you want the job do what you have to do. I've aways gone with the above and never seemed to do too badly Good luck mate
Matt Escort RS2k
Mate, it must be my age, or all the interviews I have been for but heres some advice given to me. 1) Presentation is everything, dress smart, look clean etc. 2) Body language - the silent way someone can judge you. Try to relax sit comfortably and pay attention to what the other person is taking about. Keep body movements to a min when listening. Try to use some hand movements when answering to give the impression you are generally interested in what this guy/gal is saying, even if its the most boring subject in the world. 3) Never look away from the person you are talking to, NEVER look down at the floor or up at the celing when answering a question, this immedatly tells the prospective employeer that you are pre-ocupied with something i.e try to tell a lie and cover it up. 4) NEVER EVER Bullsh1t in a interview, with in the first 5 mins a prospective employeer can judge the person you are, all you have to do in convince him you are what he thinks you are, not some super kid trying to be the best at everything. If you lie and get caught out you might as well walk out there and then, its game over 5) Take breaths, don't rush the words, try and stay calm. In most cases the interviewer is just as nervous as you are, how do you know this is not the first time he has done this. 6) If offered a drink, be it water, tea, or coffee always accept. Give the interviewer the impression he is in command at the begining - this is a good trick to put the presure on him to start the interview and break the ICE. 6) Tell the employeer you are nervous if you really are! and this is that you want the job really badly you don't want to muck up the interview process. It will help you out and might make the interviewer abit more understanding, especially if you are quite young. - Use only as a last resort if you can't over come your nerves. 7) This isnt really advice but. Personallity is key. Basically and employeer can teach you any skill to do and job after abit of time, but what he can't teach is someone is a personallity. Good luck mate, the above was advice given to me, I found it has helped, its upto you to find out what works best, and remember if you don't get the job so what! Use the time as experience, learn from the whole process and better yourself for next time.
